At St. Gabriel's we recognize the need for variety in music. While our early services do not incorporate musical hymns, our regular services enjoy two alternating formats. Our choir sings traditional music twice a month, usually the 2nd and 4th Sunday, and our Praise Band complements our contemporary service held once a month.  Our Bell-Choir adds special color to the liturgical service bi-monthly.

The Choir meets for practice Thursday evenings at 7:30.  All our members are amateurs singing for the joy of praising the Lord. The group varies between 9 and 15 members and invites anyone who wishes to join in this ministry of worship to do so.

The Praise Band is an assembly of amateur musicians who enjoy playing whichever instrument they have used to develop their talents. We have a pair of acoustic guitarists, a bass guitarist and a duet of lady vocalists. We had a drummer as well, and would love to have a fill-in while he is away at college.  See our blog at: http://stgabesby.blogspot.com/ complete with photos, a video clip and schedule.

The Bell-Choir provides special music appropriate to the season such as ringing the Psalms in Advent and Lent.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm. Ringing bells is an excellent way to learn how to read a musical and work together to make beautiful music.

Roberta Bond is organist and directs our choir and the bell-choir. Our back-up organist is Rob Meadows, who also plays piano for the Praise Band.
