St. Gabriel’s Middle/High School Youth Calendar
Woo hoo Winter into Spring 2010 as of 3/20/2010
For planning purposes, participation in most youth events listed below require sign-up on the youth bulletin board or notification of youth coordinator (Page). All events that involve transportation require a current parent trip permission form for each participant. Friends are always welcome at youth activities. Please contact Page if you need confidential financial assistance to attend any events.
Most Sundays Sit in service with Youth Leaders 10:00 am service
At the 10:00 am Sunday service sit with Kelly and Nelson and other youth in the pew covered with purple fleece behind where the acolytes sit, then take early Communion and go to the youth room for a quick discussion and snack.
Sunday March 21st Spring Break- no youth events
Sunday March 28th Palm Sunday Egg Hunt 2:00-4:00 pm (tentative)
We will set up and run our annual community egg hunt for children. We may need parents to help as well if many youth are still out of town for Spring Break. This year we will make it known that we will accept donations for our mission trip.
Sunday April 4th Easter Sunday- youth sit with family or friends
Sunday April 11th Youth Time and Talent Silent Auction 8:45-11:45 am
What can you offer the congregation in the way of time and talent to raise money for our mission trip? Babysitting? Yard work? Playing piano for a party? Reading out loud? Baking a cake? Car washing? Come up with something and we’ll sell your services to the highest bidder. You will have the responsibility to schedule your services with the purchaser and to follow through with the service. Payment for your services will be handled by us. Please have your service decided on by Friday April 2nd so we can have a display up on Easter Sunday.
April 18th-April 25th: Youth Discussion In Library During Service
April 25th 11:30-3 Youth Fun Trip to Saturday Market and VooDoo Doughnut
All youth events are tentative and subject to change. Parents please fill out a current parent trip permission form/registration for 2009-10 for your youth which includes the best contact email for the family to get info about changes in youth events. Changes and schedules will also be on the youth bulletin board and on our website www.stgabrielonline.org.
