About St. Gabriel's

Wondering what an Episcopal Church is about? We are an inclusive and enthusiastic community of worshippers whose mission is to share the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and to help each other on our spiritual journey with God. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here. This essay by Bishop Hampton gives a good introduction. St. Gabriel's is quite a new congregation; we first organized in 1983 and we’ve had our own building since 1997. We are a mission congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon. Here is a brief history of St. Gabriel's. Our worship services include both a traditional Rite I Eucharist and a Rite II service with hymn singing and, frequently, music led by our choir. On the first Sunday of each month, we have a contemporary Eucharist service with a praise band. Nursery care is offered during the 10:00 service. We follow a faith-based stewardship model. It’s a year-round program that supports offerings of our time, talent and treasure. We plan our annual budget based on the pledges our parishioners have made.
